DAHI (CURD) PATTICE CHAAT

 

INGREDIENTS:

MAIN INGREDIENTS:
1. Carrot – 1
2. Pumpkin – 100 gm   
3. Cabbage – 100gm
4. Bottle gourd – 100 gm   
5. Boiled Potatoes – 2

MASALAS:
1. Pav Bhaji Masala – 1/2 Tea spoon
2. Aamchur powder (Dry Mango Powder) – 1/4th Tea spoon
3. Green paste – 1/4thTea spoon
4. Coriander Cumin powder – 1/4th Tea spoon
5. Chaat masala – ½ Tea spoon
6. White sesame seeds – 1Tea spoon
7. Salt – As per taste
8. Oil – For brushing

GARNISHING:
1. Curd – 3 Table spoon
2. Boiled potato – 1
3. Coriander – 1Tea spoon
4. Chaat masala – 1/2 Tea spoon (To sprinkle)
5. Chutney of your choice – Optional
6. Green Chutney: ½ Tea spoon
7. Home-made sweet Tamarind chutney: 1Tea spoon (As we are not using sugar anywhere)
8. Home-made Red Chutney :1/2 Tea spoon

 

METHOD:

  1. First soak all the vegetables with their intact skin in Luke-Warm water added with turmeric and salt for 15-20 mins. After 15-20 mins wash them with clean water.
  2. Chop all the vegetables. OR In a food processor just grate them till we get small fine pieces. 
  3. After grinding all the vegetables, take them in a mixing bowl. 
  4. Add boiled and mashed potatoes to this. 
  5. Now add all the masalas: Aamchur (Dry Mango) powder, Pav bhaji masala, green paste, Coriander Cumin Powder, Salt and Chaat masala. 
  6. Mix everything properly. 
  7. Apply one drop of oil to your palm and make small patties from this vegetable mixture. Dip it in sesame seeds and keep them aside in a plate. 
  8. Now heat a Pan on Hotplate/Gas/Stoveand brush it with only one drop of oil.  
  9. Now put these patties softly. 
  10. Roast them from both the sides till they turn crispy and golden brown in color. 
  11. Now in a serving plate or bowl place some of thesepatties. 
  12. Put some curd over it. 
  13. Add sweet chutney, green and red chutney (1/4th tea spoon). 
  14. Sprinkle coriander and chaat masala over it. 
  15. Now for garnishing great one boiled potato over it. To give the effect of Sev (since this is a low-calorie recipe we are not using regular Sev). 
  16. Enjoy your Dahi Pattice Chaat: Without any guilt. Equally tasty and healthy
  • As evening snacks OR
  • As a full meal.
