The bread which we we eat routinely is either made up of Maida (Bleached flour) or whole wheat. If it is made up of Maida it is definitely harmful for health also it contains a lot of calories. The whole wheat bread may not be that harmful for health but it still has high calories, so not suitable for those who want to lose weight. There is also risk of gluten (compound present in wheat) intolerance for those who are sensitive to it. Rice bread can be an option in this situation but finding a Rice bread in market is bit difficult. But don’t worry, here is the solution!  You can make your Rice bread at home and that too using just an oven or a pressure cooker, Amazing! Yes, it is possible. Follow the given recipe on how to make a Rice bread and enjoy your breakfast without any guilt. It requires just 1-2 drops of oil and no sugar in making of this bread, which makes it very low in calories.

 

GLUTEN-FREE LOW-CALORIE RICE BREAD

 

INGREDIENTS:

MAIN INGREDIENTS:
1. Rice Flour: 250 gm
2. Curd: 250 ml
3. Milk: 250 ml
4. Salt: As per taste
5. Eno fruit salt: 2 Tea spoons
6. Baking soda: 1/2 Tea spoon
7. Baking powder: 1 Tea spoon

 

METHOD:

  1. Beat 250 ml. of curd in a bowl.
  2. Now add milk to this.
  3. After milk; add Rice flour slowly into it till there are no lumps left.
  4. Stir it to make a smooth batter. 
  5. Add Salt, baking powder, baking soda and Eno-fruit salt to it.
  6. Whisk the batter.
  7. It ferments and become light in weight. This batter should be little flowy in consistency, so it rises up. 
  8. Greasea rectangular mold with one drop of oil and pat it inside with some rice flour.
  9. Now preheat oven.
  10. Bake it in this oven on 250 Degree-Celsius for almost 1 to 1 n 1/2 hr. 

OR

  1. Preheat a Cooker. 
  2. Remove whistle and ring before preheating a cooker. 
  3. Now just place one stand in this cooker and heat it for 5-8 min. 
  4. Now same follow the same procedure as mentioned above procedure and place the vessel containing batter in this cooker. 
  5. Now bake it for 1 hour. 
  6. To check whether Bread is ready or not, pierce one toothpick in it. 
  7. If it comes out clean from all sides; means bread is ready. 
  8. Now let it cool for 15-20 minutes. 
  9. Then move one knife at all the edges and just flip the mold on any tray. 
  10. Rice bread is ready. 

 

This can be useful for Tiffin as:

  1. Sandwiches (with salad and favorite sauce)
  2. Garlic Bread (Put salt and garlic paste with herbs).
  3. Even as a Crispy Toast to enjoy with Tea/Coffee.
  4. It can also be eaten with Paav Bhaji.
