Aarogyam Sukhsampada - Health is the divine wealth.

Dr. Aniruddha Dhairydhar Joshi (MD. Medicine) also known as Sadguru Shree Aniruddha Bapu, my Sadguru, my Inspiration has always shown me the path & also to all his friends and followers. He always guides us about various aspects of life which makes our life healthy, happy and peaceful, that too lovingly and pardoning our mistakes and our laziness.

13th December 2014 a date which could be termed as one of the turning points in my life. On this date a special lecture was held at Andheri Sports Club, Andheri, Mumbai on the topic of 'Self Health'. It lasted for around three hours & all those attending this lecture were spellbound by Dr. Aniruddha D. Joshi’s deep knowledge about the subject. He explained the difficult things in such simple way that a common man like me had no difficulty in understanding it.

That day I decided to implement the content of the discourse & from 14th December onwards I started implementing his words….

I started with drinking a full glass of water in the morning on empty stomach. Gradually I increased it to 1 litre over a period, and till date have been drinking 1 litre of water at the start of the day.

Then came the most important and critical part, which was taking a walk everyday. Being lazy I first started with half an hour walk. This time I had decided that I will not be inconsistent this time. I slowly but steadily kept the momentum going. Here too Dr. Aniruddha D. Joshi’s words helped me that we should take small steps while trying to achieve a larger goal.  He had always stressed the importance of at least one hour of walk everyday and how it changes our way of thinking, making it positive. He himself loves walking and even today he makes a point to walk whenever he gets time.

During his lecture he had stressed on the importance of walking in the morning sunlight which helps us to gain vitamin D. Keeping this in mind and referring the notes from time to time, I made it a point to follow it regularly. Gradually I started loving it to walk which helped me to walk for at least hour daily.

I changed my breakfast habits and my wife helped me in this by making healthy food items like idli, dosa, ambil, kimchi, khaman dhokla for me as well as for the family. Whenever for some or the other reason if she was unable to cook, we used to bring it from market but made it a point that we must have the above mentioned items only for snacks. She started cooking vegetables, fish with very less oil or without oil. The transition from oily food to without oil was never a problem. It also helped us to stop eating foods like pizzas, fried foods, burgers etc.

Dextrose(Glucose) a substitute to Common sugar(Sucrose) also suggested by Dr. Aniruddha D. Joshi during this lecture. He also specified that though it has no harmful metabolic effects on our health, it does contain calories and because weight gain if consumed in excess. I started using dextrose as replacement for common sugar, but I was weighing 115 kg that time. As per the reference of Health lecture by Dr. Aniruddha D. Joshi dated 13th December 2014, Dr. Suchit Dattopadhye suggested me to reduced the intake of Dextrose. It was necessary for losing weight.I also corrected my earlier mistake of eating products which have lots of sugar such as biscuits, cold drinks and sweets.

One more thing which Dr. Aniruddha D. Joshi told us that we should have Probiotics such as Curd, Yogurt, etc. as much as possible in regular diet. As it boosts our helpful intestinal bacteria and keeps us healthy. The home made yogurt of cow milk made a huge difference to me.

Many small hints for improving our health mentioned in this lecture which are  now available on “Healthonics website”(https://images.healthonics.healthcare/self-health-lecture-overview/) have helped me from time to time.

My goal was to achieve normal BMI. Today I am myself surprised that I have lost 35 kgs of weight and achieved normal BMI within a year.

Everything is possible, only we need to be consistent. That too can be achieved by looking at Dr. Aniruddha D. Joshi, watching closely his dedication to make everybody’s life beautiful and his devotion towards Mother Chandika.

I am thankful that I could achieve it, more importantly my example provided me an opportunity to spread the knowledge given by Dr. Aniruddha D. Joshi to my family, friends, office colleagues, societies, business colleagues etc., as they themselves are curious to know how this miracle has happened.
